Description
There are two reasons for this:
1. Checkout has one purpose to get the customer to finish the purchase - they should not be distracted, so that they do not abandon checkout
2. All this extra information such as: featured products, language selection, currency selection and menus consume valuable resources as checkout is fairly heavy on DB operations
